Breaking Shiba Halloween

Towards the beginning of fall, J and I started watching Breaking Bad and were quickly addicted. This fantastic show became the inspiration for our Shibas' Halloween costumes this year!

Shio costumed as the badass Walter White aka Heisenberg. Emi is the symbolic pink teddy bear cameoed in several episodes during Season 2.

Shio was very cooperative in posing with the hat and the tee with Heisenberg's face screen printed in the back. We couldn't forget the blue meth of course!

Emi was none too thrilled about her costume but still managed to look the adorable part. Can you see that the eyeball on her costume lights up?

Best costumes yet, we think!

Shio vs. Costumes

Been trying Halloween costumes on Shio for this year and I'm not sure it's gonna happen. He looks incredibly upset with clothes on! I'm a bad mom and I laugh at him as his legs suddenly stop working and flops down into a pile of miserable mush. That and the airplane ears (like Zuko on his 2nd birthday!) and the stare that can only be described as the "whale eye". Puahahah.

Shio vs. Costume

When people say that dogs have personalities and are expressive, non-dog-owners do not really believe. We lucky dog-owners, however, know better. Dogs are very good at showing their humans how they feel.

For example, look at Shio's expression as T put a costume on him...

Being the good boy that he is, Shio put up with wearing the costume. However, he showed us his discontent:

With the costume on, Shio did not move at all. He basically gave us the sad puppy eyes until we took the costume off.

Regardless of whether he enjoyed being dressed up or not, we had to bring him to the dog run Howl-O-Ween party as Robin Hood!
