Marine Park

Continuing on our weekend adventures, we went to Marine Park today.

We went on one of the nature walks, and Shio was super excited to have the chance to explore yet another new area. However, there are two things to note:

  1. There are ticks!! Be careful (both shibas and humans)
  2. We initially had our dogs off-leash, but ran into some recreational off-road vehicles. After that, we had them back on-leash

We plan on exploring the area some more in the future -- likely earlier in the day given the heat.

At the end of our walk, we met a local shiba named Jesse. He was 14 years old but very gentle.

As you can see, Shio was extremely happy and Emi was pretty tired.

Dog-Friendly Brunch :: The Bedford

Yet another great little spot in Williamsburg. It is conveniently located near McCarren Park, where there is plenty of parking and ample park space for Shio and Emi to potty.

The Bedford has 4 / 5 outdoor tables that can easily seat 2 humans + 2 dogs. On top of that, Shio and Emi were both served their own water and Shio got to sit on the bench with humom.

After brunch, we drove to Inwood Hill Park for a short 1 hour hike. The park was clean, but the paths were unmarked and confusing. However, it did provide good views of the George Washington Bridge.

All in all, a great day for the pack.

After 3 Days of Rain...

We took Shio and Emi to Shore Road Park for some exploring and exercise. Found a very nice park called John Paul Jones Park that is quiet and clean.

The entrance to Shore Road Park is then across the street from there, providing easy access to another stretch of nicely-paved walk-way for Shio and Emi to explore.

Looking forward to coming back here in the future with some shiba pals!
