Since Shio turned 9 months old, we have been able to skip his afternoon potty run. Instead of going out 4x a day (8am, 12pm, 5pm, 10pm) we now skip the noon potty trip and go straight from 8am to 5pm. I don't know if anyone is excited as I am but it is so AWESOME not to have to get up from your desk every couple of hours during the day just so he can pee.
I'll just tack that onto the long list of reasons why I love my Shio.
T has been trying very hard to get Shio to cuddle. However, Shio will have no part of it.
Even though his tolerance has increased, he is still not happy when held for too long (i.e. more than 1 minute).
He will growl, snare, and push away.

Every once in a while, we give Shio his favorite treat -- bone marrow! This is one treat that is both healthy and fun.
We prepare the bone by boiling it for 5 minutes or so first to kill any bacteria. Once done, it's all Shio's!

Shio and I travelled to JFK on Monday to pick up my family from the airport and stay overnight on Long Island. At first, we were going to leave him in the car since we weren't sure whether dogs would be allowed in the airport pickup terminal or not. We decided to give it a chance and bring him in anyway and deal with the problem if we were kicked out. It's not like we haven't been ousted from a public area before (ahem*Target*ahem). Turns out, we were allowed to have him in there! Yay!
We stayed there for 3 hours waiting for everyone to pick up their luggage and go through customs. Shio started getting frisky around hour 2. Luckily, he had a curious little girl to keep him company and hold his leash in the meantime.
Did you know that airports have a "Pet Relief Area"? This one was courtesy of British Airways. It's amazing what you notice after you become a pet owner!
This just in. Caught him in action this time. I was sitting at our home office this afternoon working as a delivery person slipped a menu through our door.
Shio is quite proud of his work.
